About Us

The Fabretto Children's Foundation
The Fabretto Children's Foundation is a U.S. based 501(c)3 charitable organization founded in 1993 to carry on the work begun by Father Fabretto over fifty years ago. It is supported by a nationwide network of supporters and volunteers advocating on behalf of Fabretto and supporting our work.

Our Mission
Fabretto enables impoverished Nicaraguan children and their families in underserved communities to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential through programs promoting nutrition, health, education, community and character development.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of individuals with work experience in both the government and private sectors. Our Directors are deeply committed to the work and mission of the Foundation. They have all given significant support in terms of financial and/or personal time contributions over and above their board duties to help us meet our program goals.

Our Key Staff members are dedicated to helping the children of Nicaragua and their families. Our ranks are slowly growing and we currently have three full-time employees. The balance of our US-based staff is part-time, enabling us to keep our operating expenses at the very minimum possible. You can be confident that the vast majority of contributions - over 88% - do in fact go to support programs that directly benefit the communities and children served by La Familia Padre Fabretto.

To review our work on a financial basis, please feel free to review our Annual Reports which will give you a good understanding of how we have managed our income and investments to support our programs. On this link, you will also find summaries of our program activities over the last 3 years.

The Fabretto Children's Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, tax ID #36-3894824.
