We will send you Fabretto items. You sell them to friends, family or coworkers. When done, send us the checks you collected and any unsold items.
Help organize a Nica Nights event
Nica Nights events are small get togethers, usually at a bar or restaurant. They are great for both fundraising and awareness building. Our event staff will help you coordinate your event.
Secure and-or man a table at a crafts fair
Craft or holiday fairs are a great place to sell Fabretto items. If your school, church or community host a fair, secure a table and we will send you the items to sell. We are also always looking for people to help man the table at fairs we've organized.
Serve on a Night for Ninos Committee
Night for Ninos events currently take place in Washington, DC, Chicago, New York and Miami. Committee members invite friends, secure auction items, or help us get Event Sponsors. Fabretto's event staff handles all event logistics. We want to host events in new cities as well, so if you want to chair a committee in a new location - let us know!
Secure items for event auctions
Do you know restaurant owners, have access to vacation destinations, can get art or sports memorabilia donated, or secure other great items? We are always in need of goodies for our auctions!
Use Goodsearch
Use Goodsearch to do your internet searches and each search generates a penny for Fabretto. The pennies add up quickly!! See our home page of the Goodsearch link.
Connect us with Foundations
Do you have contacts at private, family or public foundations that might consider a Fabretto grant proposal? Open the door for us and our grants team will take it from there!
Host a "Get To Know Fabretto" Party
A Get to Know Fabretto Party is when you invite friends to come learn about Fabretto. It can be just an informative meeting, or you might show a clip from Dreaming Nicaragua, sell Fabretto crafts, or focus on getting new child sponsors. A House Party can be anything you want it to be, and can take place at your home, office, school, church - anywhere!

Make a video for Utube
Did you visit Fabretto in Nicaragua? Did you participate in a fun Fabretto event in the U.S.? Do you have video of it? Post Fabretto related movies to our Utube site and let others share in your experience!
Organize a Dreaming Nicaragua screening
Dreaming Nicaragua is our full length documentary film about life and poverty in typical Fabretto communities. If you have access to a screening space, we'll help you put together an event around the movie.
Organize and run a club at school
We welcome youth, teens and college student volunteers! Organize a club at school or do some other activity that will help you spread the word about Nicaragua and Fabretto.
Administrative
Computers and IT
FCF has no IT staff and we are all pretty clueless about computers! If you can spend an hour or two on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) helping out in our Arlington, VA office - we would be eternally grateful!
Data entry and database management
This is a great internship/community service opportunity for a high school or college student! Much can be done remotely, though the ability to come to our Arlington, VA office every once in a while would be a plus.
Grant Research and Writing
Can be done remotely or in the office. Great internship opportunity for a college student or part time volunteer position for someone with grant writing and/or research experience.
Graphic Design
We can always use help with printed and web marketing pieces. Can all be done remotely!
Web Social Networking Site Management
Help us stay current on Facebook, post new items to our social network sites, identify web trends that we should participate in! There's lots to do here. Great internship opportunity for a web savvy high school or college student. And, like all things web - can be done remotely!
Press & News Relations
This can be done remotely or in the office in Arlington. We need help getting our story to the press and increasing our exposure and name recognition in the public media!
