Special Fabretto Health Cases
Fabretto provides basic access to healthcare for children and youth in the communities Fabretto serves, which includes such activities as innoculations, distributing deworming medication twice a year, and monitoring growth and basic health indicators. Occasionally, Fabretto encounters serious medical conditions requiring treatment with associated costs falling outside the core of Fabretto operations and budget. Thus, a Special Health Cases Initiative was started by a long-term Fabretto Volunteer, Mike Zelek. These designated gifts support special health cases so that the child or youth can receive specialized medical care. For example, the gift could cover additional doctor or medical fees, transportation costs from the outlying rural areas to urban centers for care, or lodging expenses for the families of the child undergoing treatment.
