This Alpaca Snowflake was one of our most loved ornaments last year, and was brought back by popular demand. Measuring approx. 4in wide, this ornament features intricate spirals and is wrapped in white glass beads. Buy one for your tree, or give one as a gift!

Nica HOPE jewelry is made by youth from the communities of the Managua City Dump, La Chureca and Acahualinca. Children from the dump often drop out of school to collect and clean recyclable items from the trash to earn income for their families, rarely making more than $2 a day. Through Fabretto’s outreach program, we help child workers and other at-risk youth re-enroll and remain in school. A key part of this program is providing tangible income-earning opportunities through various technical and vocational skills training classes. In the jewelry program, 100 students aged 14 and above receive a portion of the profit from each item they create. The youth are also learning basic business and entrepreneurial skills, to help them prepare for future employment, or to start their own mini beading business.
